ABOUT Masamune Kawasaki
Masamune Kawasaki is a Creative Technologist and Art Director from Tottori, Japan. He holds a Master of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology (now Tokyo University of Science), Graduate School of Environment and Society, Department of Interdisciplinary Engineering.
During his undergraduate studies, he researched mathematical optimization, and in graduate school focused on HCI research combining mental health care and natural language processing, presenting his work both domestically and internationally. As a graduate student, he brought his own artistic practice into the university, serving as Director and Producer of a student art exhibition organized by Tokyo Tech at Shibuya Scramble Square QWS. At Digital Hollywood Tokyo Main Campus, where he was enrolled concurrently, he produced AR works and 3DCG animation, with pieces exhibited at SOCIAL INNOVATION WEEK 2020 SHIBUYA and NEWVIEW EXHIBITION 2020 in Taipei. He is interested in creating new experiences through expression — particularly in exploring what can only be expressed through video, and what cannot.
